Textile Quality Manager, Bangladesh

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing, revising and implementing textile quality standards and policies meeting the required European and international quality standards. 
  • Manage the performance of a team of quality engineers, inspectors, social compliance auditor and fitting engineers.
  • Define the technical audit of suppliers.
  • Participate in developing the supplier base to ensure all suppliers meet commercial, ethical and quality requirements and policies of the group.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to achieve targeted service level for all textile product categories.
  • Handle customer complaints, products requests and quality claims.
  • Identify gaps and propose solutions and corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support/guidance to the team and merchandise teams.
  • Manage the performance and costs of third party laboratories/inspection companies.
  • Report regularly to management the results, progress and issues.

Requirements:

  • University degree or above in fabric technology.
  • 3 to 5 years working experience in an international inspection company or in the quality department of well known sourcing companies, international trading or buying offices.
  • At least 2 years experience in managing a team.
  • CSR knowledge is a must.
  • Knowledge of European and other international safety requirements and norms applicable to textile products.
  • Experience in products development (fitting, testing), quality controls and factory audits.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.  French speaking or an European language is an advantage.
  • Computer literate and proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Good leadership skills, more specifically in influencing all levels of management and driving complex situations and projects to the desired outcome.
  • Commercial sense, dynamic and creative problem solver.
  • Capable of working independently on multi-tasks, target-driven and self-motivated.
  • High sense of ethics and integrity, honest, dedicated, systematic and initiative.
