For our sourcing office in Dhaka, we would like to invite high caliber applicants for below position:

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct social compliance audits of factories in Bangladesh to assess compliance with local labor and workplace safety laws, international human rights standards, and the client’s supplier code of conduct.
• Executes on-the-ground factory monitoring programs.
• Prioritize, plan and organize work efficiently to deliver first rate audit services and end products such as audit recaps (CAP), reports and other client specific reporting tools.
• Monitor supplier progress against action plan and communicate on performance.
• Develop appropriate compliance programs, policies and procedures to support suppliers on all compliance related issues.
• Anticipate and plan for geo-political, social and environmental risks related to apparel sourcing.
• Identify and analyze Social Compliance trends and best practices and evaluate the possibility of replication/scaling up.
• Develop and deliver training opportunities that increase internal and external awareness and promotion of strong compliance.
• Report on daily visit and provides management reports.
• Retain and safeguard documents pertaining to the audit and maintain all audit findings confidentially.
• Attend to local ACCORD meeting and do necessary reporting.
• Collaborate with merchandising departments to understand the clients’ needs and to achieve business goals.

Education:

• University Degree
• SA8000 Auditor Basic & Advanced Certification or CSR Auditor Certification

Experience:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in factory compliance auditing for apparel manufacturing facilities (SMETA or ICS member, BSCI).
• Working experience in international buying house, sourcing company is preferred.
• Experience in quality controls, technical audits and products development of apparel is preferred.

Additional Job Requirements:

• Possess knowledge of International labor standards, local law and human rights issues.
• Knowledge of ACCORD definition and process is a plus.
• Good communication skill with suppliers and merchandise teams.
• Excellent command in both spoken & written English, Bengali.
• Computer literate and proficient in MS Office applications.
• Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics.
• Comfortable with confrontations, have strong drive to lead changes when encountering ambiguity, complexity and resistance.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to work and learn independently.
