Field Trainer

The duration of the proposed contract is initially Six months with high possibility of extension.

The Empowering Women Workers in Bangladesh project is an initiative of Cottonon in Bangladesh in partnership with CARE Bangladesh to address personal and professional development of workers specially the women workers of the RMG in the Dhaka & Gazipur District. This initiative is a new initiative of Cottonon to Contribute workers’ empowerment process by enhancing skills and fostering relation among related parties in the RMG sector.

The Field Trainer will assist to implementation of project activities in the project operation areas. This includes arrangement and conduct of training/workshops with the project participant and counterparts to ensure implementation of activities as per project strategies and implementation plan. He/she will provide training suppport ereate Empowering Women so that the Cottonon’s women empowerment program is implemented smoothly. The Trainer will assist to ensure full participation of the projct participants in the training session. The Trainer responsibilities will include day to day implement of the project activities in the project operation areas and maintain appropriate and purposeful liaison with local service providers, civil society organizations. He/She will assist the Project Officer and Program Manager in participatory planning, designing, training facilitation, and networking along with implementation of appropriate approaches, strategies and program management.

He/She needs to ensure the quality of the intervention, facilitate innovation, documentation of best practices and learning. He/she will work closely with Program Manager/Program Officer to ensure that the concerns, information, learning and recommendations generated through field facilitation are well understood by different stakeholders and are well communicated with project management and impact groups for enhancing the quality of field planning and implementation.

II. Responsibilities and Tasks:

Responsibility # 1: Arrange and conduct regular training for quality implementation of the project activities.

  • Work closely with Program Officer/Program Manager and other team members for effective implementation of the Empowering Women Workers in Bangladesh project. 
  • Arrange and conduct regular training for quality implementation of the project activities.
  • Develop and organize different types of training and learning materials.
  • Challenge addressing of the training program in the factory settings.

 

 

Responsibility # 2: Assist in Capacity Building of the Field Staff specially the Trainers.

20%

  • Assist in developing Field Trainers capacity through training and providing ongoing support and guidance to staff in the field.
  • Assist in developing activity plans and implementation of the training and community engagement initiatives.
  • Track regularly the progress of the training program vis a vis project targets.
  • Assist in ensuring that project guidelines, approaches and strategies are well understood by the field staff and factory based Peer Faclitators are adequately supported in implementing relevant approaches and strategies.

 

 

Responsibility # 3: Collaborate with external stakeholders like vocational training centers and other projects working on career advancement.

15%

  • Work closely with project manager to develop effective relationship with factory management and other projects working on career advancement.
  • Identify issues that require greater support in the area of career advancement for women workers.
  • Organize learning and sharing events.
  • Develop and organize different types of learning materials.
  • Challenge addressing of the factory enviorement.

 

Responsibility # 4: Reporting and Documentation.

20%

  • Data collection of regular training and other interventions.
  • Assist in collection of data based on the project needs.
  • Assist in documentation of learning through identifying good practices and challenges.
  • Collection of training reflections from participants and factory managements.
  • Assist in different kinds of assessments, conducting PLA exercises.
  • Assist in capturing case study and photographs of events.
  • Prepare in training and others reports as per project needs.

 

III.           Reporting to:  

Directly Report to Senior Program Officer.

IV.          Working Condition:  

  • This is a Gazipur field-based position and will require the incumbent to visit the working areas under this project. 
V. Qualification:
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in working with NGO specially training conduction.
  • Masters/Bachelor in social science or equivalent subjects.
  • Working experience with Rudiment Garments Workers especially women will be preferred.
  • Good facilitation and community mobilization background.
  • Ability to can perform well under pressure.
  • Good communication skill in both Bangla and English.
