Terms of Reference for Third Party Executive Search Firm

Background

Christian Aid (CAID) has been working in Bangladesh since 1971 and has been working in Cox’s Bazar for the last 6 years on DRR and humanitarian response with host communities. Since September 2017, CAID has scaled up its operation in Cox’s Bazar to aid the lifesaving humanitarian needs of the Rohingyas. In partnership with IOM, CAID is managing one of the new settlements – Camp 15. CAID is also serving 10,539 households in camps 12, 15 and 19 and to date has provided 138,084 outpatient consultations through 3 static health facilities. Key sector focus of CAID in the Rohingya camps is Camp Site Management, WASH, Shetler and Protection.

Significant expansion of our footprints and size of programs has accelerated our recruitments. To ensure that we have people with right competencies and experience to steer our programs we are looking for executive search firms and recruitment agencies who could support us with our recruitment process.

Deliverables

The executive search firm/ recruitment agency will engage with Christian Aid to find appropriate candidates for various short term and long term posts. We are expecting the following from the recruitment partners:

  1. Understand the mandate that is the role profile, ethos, mission and vision of the organization.
  2. Create appropriate visibility of the post.
  3. Assess the market and suitable organizations to identify and source potential candidates.
  4. Meet and talk with the potential candidates to assess their fitment. Share interview notes with Christian Aid manager
  5. Coordinate all interviews and candidate communications
  6. Ensure that reference checks are carried out as per Christian Aid standards
  7. Support salary negotiations
  8. Accompany the candidate, providing necessary information and follow ups till the joining
  9. To close recruitments within 7 to 20 working days depending on the urgency

Requirements

We are seeking a reputed Executive search firm/ recruitment agency who are well established in Bangladesh.  For a successful engagement we are looking for the following in the recruitment partner:

  1. The firm should be based in Bangladesh with an office in Dhaka
  2. Active recruiting experience in non profit industry with proven list of clienteles.
  3. Strong experience in hiring mid to senior roles for international non profits in Bangladesh
  4. Knowledge with desirable hiring experience in humanitarian response and largescale programs

Terms:

  1. The selected executive search firm/ recruitment agency would have to adherer to Christian Aid UK consultancy terms and conditions
  2. The agency would be required to provide two references from their clients
  3. Initially, the agency will be retained for a year and vacancies will be shared with the agency based on Christian Aid’ discretion.
  4. The agency would be required to provide free replacement if the candidate fails to join or leaves within probation period (which is upto 26 weeks)
