This role is for ensuring emergency support to the Rohingya as part of Christian Aid’s emergency programme.

We are looking for a person who is already working in international organisation as a manager/officer or within a team having experience in similar area in Bangladesh or any other country.  You’ll see this as an excellent opportunity to lead the Finance & operation for Bangladesh Country Team. The Finance Officer for Christian Aid’s Cox’s Bazar office will be responsible for working for Displace Rohynga Crisis people at Cox’s Bazar office. To manage aspects of Christian Aid's finance ,keeping record of all financial transaction, ensure smoothly payment process as per Christian Aid financial policy, update day to day financial reporting, budgeting, auditing and compliance that relate to in line with Christian Aid’s procedures and policies as well as institutional donor. Liaison with Christian Aid country office finance team and support to Christian Aid staff regarding financial capacity building through training and technical support. To improve the capacity of Christian Aid programme staff to understand both Christian Aid's and institutional donors' financial policies and procedures.

This role sits within the finance role family in the Bangladesh Country team based in the Cox’s Bazar office. The role holder contributes to the Displaced Royhinga crisis people at the Cox’s Bazar office. S/he responsible to supports for the making payment process, maintain books of accounts, maintain day to day   financial and budgeting and reporting in the cox’s bazar office. This will include assisting the effective implementation of any relevant institutional donor programme and to provide capacity building support to partners on financial accounting and management.

About The role

We are looking for candidate with a high level of commitment to bring transformational changes to the lives of poor and disaster-affected communities.  The incumbent is expected to possess specialized knowledge of finance along with Masters of Commerce.  Having at least 5 years professional experience in similar position with international or UN organization. S/he should have substantial and relevant of financial management experience in the field of international development organization or UN agency with humanitarian response, disaster risk reduction or disaster preparedness.  Basis understanding  of implementing programmes through a partnership approach; minimum knowledge of managing program intervention independently, excellent IT skills and language skills in English.
