This role is for ensuring emergency support to the Rohingya as part of Christian Aid’s emergency programme.

About The role

The Finance officer is responsible for providing support to Christian Aid partnerships and programmes to ensure funds are managed effectively and allocated as per the approved project. All aspects of the programme finance function, which will include financial records, financial reports, budgets, donor funds, internal and external audits and providing financial support to Christian Aid partner staff. This role will also support or manage partner financial capacity, manage the compliance function. The position requires travel within the country. 

About you

We are looking for a person who is already working in international organisation as a officer or within a team having experience in similar area at Country office level.  You’ll see this as an excellent opportunity to be part of the Finance team in Bangladesh country programme. We are looking for candidate with a high level of commitment to bring transformational changes to the lives of poor and disaster-affected communities.  The incumbent is expected to possess specialized knowledge of finance along with a degree in accounting a Master’s degree will be an added advantage.  Having at least 5 years professional experience in finance with international Development organisation or UN organization. S/he should have substantial experience and knowledge of financial management within humanitarian, disaster risk reduction or disaster preparedness context.  You wil have basic understanding of finance systems and procedures in partnership approach; Hands on experience of working on modern accounting and financial packages along with MS Excel. Good Written and Verbal communication skills in English and Bangla.
