Programme Manager

Compensation: BDT 17,23,486/- to BDT 21,54,358/- gross per annum + medical reimbursement, provident fund, gratuity and medical insurance.
Location: Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh
Contract Status: Fixed Term (2) Years

About the role

To lead and manage programmes and large partner portfolios in Bangladesh country programme under a defined policy framework agreed with the Country Manager. The role is a Senior role based in Bangladesh and sits as a member of the Christian Aid Bangladesh Senior Management Team. The role is in the programme family. The role is Key in developing, and implementing programs strategy across a country program whilst leading on partner portfolio projects. This role will include managing a team with technical inputs and will ensure effective management and development of programme and appropriate support for partners. The role will ensure that a strong link exists between our programme and advocacy component and provide representation in the country programme. Thereby making major contribution for fundraising and communication and also maintain strong liaison and networking as appropriate.

About you

The post holder should have a first and second degrees in social sciences or or related fields with 10 -   12 years’ experience of working in development/humanitarian response with National and International NGO. She/he should have highly effective organizational skills and be able to learn complex systems and procedures quickly. Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure with multiple priorities, strong positive attitude and ability to manage a wide range of issues of complicated procedures, indicated by 8 years learning period is essential. The post holder should have proven track record and experience in developing Programme plans. She/ he should have strong knowledge and proven experience on developing and analysing logical and conceptual framework.
