This role is for ensuring emergency support to the Rohingya as part of Christian Aid’s emergency programme.
About the role
The Protection Officer will be responsible for managing the implementation of protection activities in close collaboration with other Christian Aid (CAID) operational departments under the supervision of the Site Manager. S/he will participate in needs assessment, coordinate safety trainings, support Site Management team in committee formation, communicate with site management, coordinate with other stakeholder present on site. Lead the development of the strategy for site protection for Rohingya crisis in Cox’s Bazar. Provide technical leadership on prevention and response programming, supporting and empowering partners and CAID staff to creative, effective and comprehensive programming.
About you
You should possess bachelor’s degree in MSW, MA/S, MPH, or equivalent in health, social science, humanities or other related degree with 5 years of relevant work experience. You should have experience of working in SGBV prevention / response, child protection, or women empowerment. Experience in data collection will be an added advantage. You should be comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well ability to engage with community members in an open manner, be able to maintain confidentiality and respect;
