1. Job Title: Field Supervisor (FS)
Job purpose:
The Field Supervisor(s) will be responsible for supervision and implementing field activities of Christian Aid-supported projects. S/he will also be responsible for ensuring smooth implementation of field level activities, facilitation of community-based meeting and orientation, reporting, documentation, coordination, supervision, and guidance of the community mobilizers in Jamtoli FDMN camp and host community programme activities in Ukhia and Teknaf.
- Educational Qualification : Bachelor Degree/Degree in Social Science or related subjects.
- Starting date : 1st April 2018
- Report to : Site/project Coordinators
- Job location : Ukhia Project Office, Cox’s Bazar (with frequent field visit)
- Salary : As per Christian Aid policy.
Role and responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide guidance to the Community Mobilisers in the implementation of field level activities.
- Supervision of construction and installation of tube wells, latrines, bathing cubicles and community common kitchens.
- Ensure regular follow up and monitoring of WASH-related interventions.
- Facilitate community level orientations/meetings/sessions.
- Organize orientation on Agricultural intervention based on project needs.
- Participate in project related meetings at camp and host community level.
- Coordination and networking with local government agencies, campsite management team and other non-government agencies working in the camps.
- Attend projects related meetings and regular stakeholders’ meetings happening in the project sites.
- Keep close liaison with the Project Coordinator and submit periodic reports.
- Any other task/s assigned as emerged and required for the project and organization.
Skills and competencies:
- 1 – 2 years working experience in the Humanitarian response, early recovery and humanitarian activities as Supervisory or Senior Field officer level position.
- Skill in facilitation and community mobilization.
- Experience in working under pressure (and remaining calm).
- Willing to traveling to field regularly.
- Experience in managing diverse field team
- Diversity and gender sensitivity.
- Have profound knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Understanding and speaking in local dialect in Ukhia and Teknaf Zone. Knowledge of Rohingya language would be an added advantage.
- Good Reporting skill in both Bangla and English
- Skills in Need assessment and data collection in harsh conditions
- Strong Leadership quality to manage a diverse team
2. Job Title: Community Mobilisers (CM)
Job purpose:
The Community Mobiliser will be responsible for implementing field activities of Christian Aid-supported projects. S/he will also be responsible for community mobilization, reporting, documentation, coordination, supervision, and monitoring of the Community Volunteers in Jamtoli FDMN camp and host community programme activities.
- Educational Qualification : Bachelor Degree/Degree in Social Science or related subjects. For highly experienced people Higher Secondary Certificate will be considerable.
- Starting date :1st April 2018
- Report to : Field Supervisor
- Job location: Jamtoli and other host community areas in Ukhia and Teknaf under Ukhia Project Office, Cox’s Bazar.
- Salary : As per Christian Aid policy.
Role and responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide guidance to the Community Volunteers in conducting community-level sessions and meetings.
- Supervision of construction and installation of tube wells, latrines, bathing cubicles, latrine deglazing, commissioning and community common kitchen.
- Follow up sanitation and hygiene promotion activities and community level orientations/meetings/
sessions conducted by the Community Volunteers at different community-level programming
- Participate project related meetings at camp level.
- Community level DRR, Food Security, and resilience work
- Working with Host community to reduce social conflict between Host and camp people
- Keep close liaison with the Field Supervisor(s) and submit a monthly report.
- Any other task/s assigned as emerged and required for the projects and organization.
Skills and competencies:
- Minimum 2-year working experience in WASH, DRR, Food Security and humanitarian response activities.
- Skill in the facilitation of community mobilization.
- Skill in community survey and data collection
- Experience in working under pressure (and remaining calm) and willingness to work under stress situation
- Willingness to travel to field regularly.
- Diversity and gender sensitivity.
- Have profound knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Work experience in Ukhia and Teknaf is desirable
- Understanding and speaking in local dialect in Ukhia and Teknaf Zone. Knowledge of Rohingya Language would be an added advantage.
