Project Manager - Society

British Council invites applications for the position of Project Manager-Society.

Main Accountabilities

  • Manage and deliver assigned Society projects and strategy as devised by the country leadership, ensuring compliance with corporate finance, HR, Child Protection Policy and Health and Safety standards.
  • Develop and implement Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework for the assigned projects in line with the British Council’s Results and Evidence Framework (REF). 
  • Lead small and low-risk Society projects, including project design, implementation and evaluation.
  • Accountable for managing all aspects of project finances through British Council’s SAP-based financial and business system (FABS), and developing detailed budget plan for the assigned projects.
  • Work with Procurement and Finance team to ensure financial compliances are met and risk management is assured.
  • Developing and maintaining excellent networks and relationships with the relevant stakeholders in Bangladesh, and support Head of Society to identify, nurture and maintain relationships to generate partnerships, sponsorship and partnership funding.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to all line managees, and conduct performance management system.

And will have the following skills and experience

  • Graduate in any discipline, although post-graduation will be preferred.
  • Minimum 5-year professional experience of managing Civil Society includes children/Women’s and Girl’s Empowerment/Capacity Development focused projects in a development context, including at an INGO.
  • Experience in managing key stakeholders in a commercial or public-sector environment
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Bangla.

We can offer

  • Monthly salary BDT 93,750 (Consolidated).
