Project Manager English – Bangladesh

British Council invites applications for the position of Project Manager English - Bangladesh.

Main Accountabilities

  • To be accountable for the implementation of an agreed portfolio of projects at all stages of the project cycle, and also contribute to the development of products, services, projects and activities for agreed target groups cycle.
  • To work in close collaboration with Head English to source and develop new business/partnership opportunities in the area of English.
  • To ensure the process of project pursuit is in compliance with corporate guidelines and standards.
  • To identify, develop, and manage effective relationships with key partners and stakeholders in the context of agreed projects, and apply available resources to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • To be accountable for managing all aspects of project finances through British Council’s SAP-based financial and business system, including financial risk and budget management.
  • Manage team performance in line with British Council’s performance management procedures including performance portfolios, quarterly and end of year reviews.

And will have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in an educational field – teacher development, ELT, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of Bangladesh education sector.
  • At least three years’ experience of working in programmes in the English education sector including two years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of working with children.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Bangla.

  • Monthly salary BDT 93,750 (Consolidated).
