Graphic Designer

BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health (JPGSPH) at BRAC University was established in 2004 as an international educational and research institution focusing on the integral areas of teaching, research, and services.
The goal of the School is to not only impart knowledge but also to act as a center of excellence in knowledge creation through research and training that connects with practice.

Purpose:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and creating various print and electronic communication and marketing materials as per requirement from various ongoing projects at BRAC JPGSPH.          

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide communications support to the faculty and staff of BRAC JPGSPH, BRAC University;
  • Implement the brand guidelines of  BRAC JPGSPH when designing any communication materials;
  • Deliver creative and innovative designs for both print and digital media;
  • Work from a project brief to create multiple options for management approval;
  • Working with the printing press to ensure end-to-end quality;
  • Design for event branding through posters, brochures, banners, stage etc.;
  • Take photos of internal and external events, meetings, workshops etc.;
  • Work with various projects and departments across JPGSPH;
  • Any other job assigned by the management.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of work experience in graphic design;
  • Bachelors in Graphic Design or Fine Arts from any reputed university;
  • Proficiency in using design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop;
  • Ability to incorporate and project brief and the JPGSPH brand guidelines, with your own creativity;
  • Experience of working with external vendors like printers or event management agencies;
  • Knowledge of standard software packages like, MS Office and Adobe Acrobat;
  • Working experience in development organisations is desirable;
  • Excellent writing and typing skills in English and Bengali;
  • Knowledge of current design trends;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Proactive in taking initiatives and being an active team player;
  • Responsible for timely delivery of tasks and maintaining quality;
  • Willingness to work overtime and on weekends if necessary;
  • Willingness to go on site, on field, and attend external programs when required;
  • Shortlisted candidates must show a design portfolio during the interview process.
