Research Manager, Research and Evaluation Unit

Key Responsibilities:

  • To conduct research and analysis of data/issues, including taking preparation of reports and journal publications, recommendations and other materials.
  • To create and implement best practice research vision, strategy, policies, process and procedures to improve operational performance.
  • To develop ideas for further research and oversee all projects’ research simultaneously and support programs by using data to improve program and respond to client needs.
  • To review the research that other colleagues do and motivate and coach the team for operational success.
  • To work with wider community to develop and maintain good relationships with both internal and external contacts at all level including other companies, universities and research institutions.
  • To manage contractors to ensure that they meet legal and organisational requirements.
  • To write research proposal for funding to achieve sustainability of the unit.
  • To work as part of the team to share and disseminate findings to improve the quality of the project delivery.

Person Specifications:

  • Should have experience in conducting research (maintaining both quality and quantity) with other research organizations.
  • Should have knowledge in data analysis using SPSS and STATA
  • Experience in NVivo or Atlas is necessary
  • Should have publications in national and international journals.
  • Should have excellent presentation skill including multimedia presentations.
  • Should be comprehended in using Excel.
  • Should have the ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Educational Requirements:

  • Masters degree from any reputed university preferably in Sociology/Economics/Statistics/Development Studies or any other relevant field.

Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years research experience in any reputed research institute or research unit of any reputed development organisation.
