Senior Manager, Finance and Accounts, Humanitarian Crisis Management Project

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of finance functions ensuring donor/ contract compliance 
  • Supervise budget review with monitoring procedures and manage expenses within approved budget 
  • Supervise the finance team members deployed for Cox’s Bazar HCMP and Head Office for smoothing overall operation of HCMP 
  • Liaise and coordinate with concern management and ensure full visibility of expenses incurred in comparison with project, sector and head wise budget 
  • Ensure DMSC be updated on all project progress reports in alignment with the management 
  • Ensure audit preparedness and facilitate audit of ongoing projects under HCMP 
  • Maintain continuous coordination between internal and external stakeholders of HCMP 
  • Ensure the process of budget preparation, proposal submission to donors and signing off budget 
  • Ensure proper record keeping/ accounting of HCMP operations 
  • Ensure quality of donor reporting 
  • Develop leadership and enhance capacity of staff through training and guidance

Educational Requirements:

  • MBA major in Finance/ Accounting/ ACA/ ACMA with all 2nd class from any recognised university

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ of relevant work experience in budgeting, accounting and financial management

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Have knowledge on Accounting, auditing, financial forecasting, and budgeting principles and practices with basic management information systems applications for accounting functions
  • Have ability to analyse complex problems, evaluate alternatives and implement
    creative recommendations, organise work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and
    complete assignments with minimal supervision
  • Have skills in working on several assignments simultaneously, setting priorities,
    meeting deadlines, and working independently within established guidelines
  • Have excellent knowledge on MS Office
  • Excellent language skills both English and Bengali
