  Position  

Senior Media Manager, Strategy and Partnership, Communications Department

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

  • Proactively explore, propose and execute strategic content partnerships with leading media through innovative planning and intervention.
  • Plan and execute placement of strategic content in mainstream media.
  • Liaise with media monitoring and PR agency in preparing daily, weekly and monthly media monitoring reports and analysis.
  • Contribute in developing a crisis tracking and rebuttal mechanism by establishing a strong network between the media team and regional journalists
  • Prepare articles and press releases for the media.
  • Develop relationships with national and regional press contacts to ensure the organisation’s reputation is promoted and to deflect criticism and handle crisis.
  • Plan and oversee press events.
  Requirements  

Educational Requirements:

  • Master’s in Mass Communication and Journalism/Media Studies/ English (literature or language)/ Development Studies from any recognised university

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 6-7 years as a senior reporter in a national newspaper/online media/television.
  • Experience of working for a PR/media monitoring/media buying agency will be an advantage.

Salary Range: Negotiable
