Manager, Internal Control and Compliance, Finance and Accounts (Contractual); HCMP

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure internal control over financial management in the field office with complete and accurate documentation and enable smooth programme implementation
  • Ensure budget for field offices
  • Prepare donor and monthly analytical report for the field management and donor
  • Visit field offices to implement and design a good monitoring system
  • Ensure smooth payment to staff, suppliers and partners according to the agreed deadline and compliance with the relevant policies, NGO Affairs Bureau rules and taxation rules
  • Ensure bank and cash reconciliation and internal control for payment from bank and cash
  • Manage the Accounts team, in a manner that empowers them to deliver high quality financial support to the organisation.
  • Provide high quality and effective support and resource services to staff of the organisation
  • Contribute the process implementation with quality
  • Manage the project of Humanitarian Crisis Management Project (HCMP) with standard of accountability is conceptualised and effectively implemented throughout the organisation,
  • Maintain and comply BRAC Internal policy and guidelines to implement smooth project operation

Educational Requirements:

  • M.Com/ MBA from any reputed public or private university with minimum 2nd division/ class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations. Candidates having CA Course completed with professional accounting qualification (passed level 1/Application Level) will get preference. No 3rd division/ class or below CGPA is acceptable.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in the area of budgeting, Financial Management and MIS systems. Have experience to lead the team and to work with various stakeholders.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of current taxation laws
    Good understanding on internal control process
    Knowledge in dealing with government offices and local suppliers
    Knowledge on financial management and budgeting
    Sound knowledge on MS Office package and different communication software
    Strong analytical skills
    Excellent communication skills
    Good understanding of development work in the Bangladesh programme
