BLAST-YPSA Consortium is going to implement the project named Community Legal Services for Access to Justice” funded by DFID and managed by Maxwell Stamp PLC, CLS for 33 months period up to 31 March 2017 in three upazillas - Sandwip, Fatikchari, Rangunia of Chittagong district and three upazillas - Ramu, Moeshkhali and Kutubdia in Coxs bazaar district.

Job Summary:
The Program Officer (Training) will be responsible for overall training for staff, community people and other stake holder’s development.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • To organize and arrange all the training programs as per project implementation plan, which includes developing training modules and training guidelines and to undertake necessary tasks in preparing and developing training schedule, plan, budget, materials and tools;
  • To make necessary communication and contact with the Programme Manager (Legal) to receive feedback, comments, input  on developing CLS related training module and others materials;
  • To coordinate with the upazilla and field staffs in order to identify the key participants in the different levels of training;
  • To keep up to date with the developments of CLS related training, training journals, and participate in various meetings and relevant courses;
  • To develop a pool of resource persons at village courts/local justice level and train them on the latest tools, methods and techniques;
  • To develop training need assessment tools and prepare training reports;
  • To ensure the full utilization of all training facilities, processes, resources, equipments and materials;
  • To support, manage, lead, motivate, and develop training teams at the field level;
  • To organize workshops and courtyard meeting modules and pre/post training evaluation format;
  • To develop TOR for training programmes and resource persons for conducting training;
  • To maintain training files and manage day-to- day routine administration of the project's training components concerning personnel and logistic support;
  • Any other relevant tasks that may emerge as important in the course of this assignment, and which is deemed to be appropriate for the Programme Coordinator.

Educational Requirement:

  • Masters in Sociology/Social Welfare/Development Studies or relevant subjects.

Experience Requirement:

  • 3 years working experience in organizing and implementing field based program activities & community mobilization.
  • Persons having legal training or any diploma certificate course in law/human rights will be given preference.

Additional Job Requirement:

  • Good Team player with social and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill in Bangla and English.
  • Proficient in Computer Operations, MS Office Application including typing preferably in English and Bengali both , E-mail & Internet.

Salary & Benefit:

  • Monthly consolidated salary Tk. 35,000/-.
  • Two festival bonuses equivalent to one month’s basic salary each payable after successful completion of 6 months’ probation
  • Costs in relation to field work, including travel and daily allowances, will be borne by the organisation
