Job Context

• We manufacture custom clothing under our own brand MTailor
• We are 100% foreign owned by Bit Body, Inc., a USA company
• You'll support the BBBL CEO and work closely with the USA CEO
• You'll run analytics to maintain operational excellence, design procedures for robust / efficient factory performance, and diagnose & resolve any production bottlenecks
• Work in the office cum factory at Bogabari Bazar, Ashulia, Dhaka

Job Responsibilities

• Define and implement daily and monthly metrics and analytics to serve business strategy and factory productivity. Examples include:

  (1) Analyze production output and work in progress (WIP) to hit our daily and monthly targets. Define and implement data collection methods by the factory and analyze that data in spreadsheets to understand what is happening and where are the bottlenecks
  (2) Direct fabric purchasing and planning. Avoid shortages while efficiently allocating capital. Help decide on biggest weak points in our materials supply chain
  (3) Establish robust procedures for tracking hundreds of critical in-house and on the way inventory and alerting everyone to any potential upcoming inventory shortfalls
  (4) Help drive production worker hiring needs and process. Collect capacity projections from USA, collect hiring and SMV data from production managers and align hiring pace with capacity needs

• Maintain an exceptionally high level of English fluency in USA communications, speaking with USA CEO possibly 1 - 5x per week on the phone. All written communication is in English
• Take on new assignments as required; you should be excited for projects we haven’t even thought of yet
• Most work is done via Google Sheets, JIRA, Dropbox, WhatsApp and phone calls
• You are expected to be highly analytical, creative, communicative and details oriented. Your work product should be trusted to be error-free the first time presented

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BSc)
• BSc or MS in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or Similar highly encouraged
• MBA a bonus

Job Requirements

• Work in the office cum factory at Bogabari Bazar, Ashulia, Dhaka
• Strong user of Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets, with working knowledge of complex functions and tools like pivot tables, sumifs, and array formulas
• Deeply numbers and mathematically oriented. Knowledge of basic statistics, like standard deviations and p-values, is a plus
• Strong organizational and operational skills. Interest in combining analytics, operations and management
• Great communicator via phone and email. Amazing English is necessary
• Some knowledge of textiles / fabrics and clothing manufactured a plus but not required
• Excellent attention to detail and error checking
• Work well across teams without direct managerial power or responsibilities
• Excited to solve puzzles, square qualitative factory reports with production data and generally solve open-ended, difficult problems with rigorous analysis. Answer questions like, “Why did we use 20% extra of this specific fabric in the last month?”
