Position Name: Crop Lead / Product Manager, Rice

Major tasks And Responsibilities

  • Develops business and marketing plans for assigned products/brands, including pricing strategies, sales plans, and implementation strategies
  • Plan countrywide crop / portfolio marketing related short & midterm activities while adhering to the respective policies of the company.
  • Initiate crop workshop for review of the Marketing Mix Concept and subsequent elaboration of new concepts, if applicable.
  • Ensure pre launching activities of new products for successful launch and taking pragmatic actions for life cycle management of existing products.
  • Plan and initiate crop related workshop to prepare total crop package solution (seed 2 harvest), strategy development, promotional planning, resource allocation, action plan and other recommendations to improve market share.
  • To steer zone wise rice crop marketing budget preparation, monitoring activities at the field level and analyze results in close co-operation with zonal / regional sales & marketing organization.
  • Prepare and ensure timely communication of the elaboration or adaptation of product communication concepts; reviews and updated the positioning statements of established products whenever the need arises.
  • To ensure proper usages of business intelligence / business excellence tool towards sustainable growth in rice & fruits crops in terms of gaining market leadership, product portfolio optimization, achieving profit targets.
  • To inculcate innovation culture in terms of various business development activities in rice crop while having continuous liaison with zonal / regional colleagues towards best practices sharing
  • Participates in training for field and customer service personnel on brand/product introductions or enhancements, as well as new marketing/sales campaigns

Pre-requisite to apply:

  • M.Sc. in Agriculture from any recognized university.
  • MBA in Marketing will get preference.
  • Minimum 5 - 10 yearsof relevant experiences.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Should have very good command in English both written and verbal.
  • Hard working in nature and compatible to work under pressure.

Job Location: Head Office, Dhaka (should have willingness for frequently local travel)
