Position Title: Associate Professor

Position Location: BAIUST, Cumilla Cantonment

Position Description: BAIUST solicits applications for full time faculties in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The Successful candidate will:

• To undertake research- led teaching at different levels at undergraduate courses.
• To develop innovative approaches to learning and teaching as appropriate.
• To promote theoretically informed and innovative approaches to learning and teaching related to activities across the University and externally.
• To persue, develop and lead research, innovation and impact at an appropriate benchmarked level.
• To have a significant role in the strategic development of the curriculum and learning and teaching /student support policies.
• To supervise students undertaking research projects as appropriate.
• To maintain a high quality record of regular and original research publications as appropriate to the field of discipline.
• To maintain scholarly activity and keep up to date with developments in the field as necessary to carry out the duties of the post.
• To work with the students as members of a learning community to provide world class education and excellent student experience.

Academic Qualification and Experiences

• Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering with minimum two First Class/Div/A Grade out of which one First Class/Div/A Grade in Undergraduate/Graduate Program.
• At least 07 years of teaching experience at university level, out of which 03 years as an Assistant Professor.
• Must have 05 publications to his/her credit, out of which 3 publications as Asst Professor.

OR

• Officers in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) with masters in the required discipline. (Teaching experience in CSE is preferable)

OR

• M. Phil in Computer Science and Engineering with minimum two First Class/Div/A Grade.
• At least 08 years of teaching experience at university level, out of which 04 years as an Assistant Professor.
• Must have 05 publications to his/her credit, out of which 3 publications as Assistant  Professor.

OR

• M.Sc. and B. Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from a reputed University. Must have achieved at least 03 x First Class/Div/A Grade in the entire educational curriculum.
• At least 10 years of teaching experience at university level, out of which 04 years as an Assistant Professor.
• Must have 06 publications to his/her credit, out of which 4 publications as Asst Professor.

Salary: An attractive package based on the qualifications and experience as per University Service Rules.
