Position Title: Lecturer/Assistant  Professor

BAIUST solicits applications for full time Faculties in the Department of Civil Engineering. The successful candidate will:

  • Teach undergraduate courses that meet the curricular needs of the university with particular emphasis on basic courses of Civil Engineering (Civil Engineering Drawing, Surveying, Engineering Mechanics, Geology and Geomorphology and etc.)
  • Take responsibility for the design, content and delivery of specific areas of teaching.
  • Ensure that teaching content is appropriately informed by current research and advance scholarly activity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the continuous review and development of the Department’s programs.
  • Work in accordance with University policies and procedures to undertake assessment of students’ work and give feedback.
  • To contribute to research through high quality publications.
  • Carry out specific roles and functions as required by the university.

For Lecturer

For Assistant Professor
  • M. Sc and B.Sc in Civil Engineering from a reputed University. Must have achieved at least 03X First Class/Div/A Grade (not below 3.5 in UG level) in the entire educational curriculum. Masters in Water Resources Engineering will get preferences.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with minimum two First Class/Div/A Grade out of  which one First Class/Div/A Grade in Undergraduate/Graduate Program.
  • At least 02 years of teaching experience at university level.
  • Must have at least 01 publication to his/her credit.

OR

  • M. Phil in Civil Engineering with minimum two First Class/Div/A Grade out of  which one First Class/Div/A Grade in Undergraduate/Graduate Program.
  • At least 03 years of teaching experience at university level.
  • Must have 02 publications to his/her credit.

OR

  • M.Sc. and B. Sc. in Civil Engineering from a reputed University. Must have achieved at least 03 x First Class/Div/A Grade in the entire educational curriculum out of which one First Class/Div/A Grade in Undergraduate/Graduate Program.
  • At least 03 years of teaching experience at university level.
  • Must have 02 publications to his/her credit.

OR

  • Retired Armed Forces Officer with required academic qualification may also apply. Teaching experience in CE is preferable.
