Perinatal Care Project (PCP) is a joint collaboration between the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh (BADAS) and University College London’s Institute for Global Health (IGH), which has been working since 2002 on health issues. Recently, PCP and IGH received grant from Medical Research Council, UK for a research project “How does a multi-country, multilateral network focused on specific health care improvements evolve and what shapes its ability to achieve its goals?” PCP is seeking for a Qualitative Researcher for this project.

Qualitative Researcher

Duration: 36 months


  • co-ordination of qualitative research according to plans
  • contribution to qualitative sampling framework development
  • contribution to developing and translating discussion topic guides
  • conducting interviews and group discussions
  • review published and unpublished documents
  • analysis of policy process
  • transcription/ translation of qualitative data
  • analyze qualitative data in a team
  • write descriptive and analytic reports of findings in English
  • maintaining regular correspondence with cross site co-coordinator, and other members of the qualitative research and project team

Job Nature:
Full time

Educational Requirements:

University degree in Anthropology, Sociology, Social Work, Public Health, Development Studies or communications related field

Experience Requirements:

5-7 years experience in relevant areas (develop topic guide, open ended interviews or group discussions, document review and observations), qualitative analysis and report writing experience in a work or academic context. Experience in working with Quality of Care for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health will be added advantage.

  • Ability to travel outside Dhaka

Job Location:
Dhaka, with field visit

Salary Range: Tk. 55,000-60, 000 per month

Other Benefits: Festival bonus, gratuity and provident fund
