Acid Survivors Foundation (ASF) is a centre of excellence with a vision of Bangladesh free from acid violence, where burn victims, especially women and children, live with dignity.
It is an independent, non-government, non-profit organization, set up as a Trust and registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Government of Bangladesh. It is the only specialized NGO in Bangladesh working to prevent acid and burn violence; empower survivors, especially women and children; and campaign for prevention and elimination of this violence. ASF works with an integrated approach, using a holistic (bio-psycho-social) multi-stakeholder approach backed by research, experience and evidence.

This is a top level management position based in Dhaka to ensure effective implementation of Research, monitoring & evaluation, resource mobilization, partnership management and IT & MIS of the organization. S/he will be reportable to Executive Director.
Major responsibilities include:
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Development of M&E framework and identify sources of relevant data and the processes for data management for ensuring effective implementation of strategic plans and key program initiatives.
- Designing and implementing M&E system and accomplishing M&E activities of the project/program and ensure dissemination of M&E findings to relevant authorities and stakeholders
- Formulation of a clear and operational mechanism for M&E; develop a clear system for verifying programmatic performance, particularly against intended results, targets and indicators.
- Organize and conduct training on M&E for project staff as well as for the staff of PNGOs
Research & Partnership:
- Identify Research requirement and provide input in project planning accordingly.
- Consolidation of findings of all past researches and evaluations on acid violence.
- Arrange implementation of research based on research design (in-house or third party).
- Facilitate finalization, publication and sharing of research report (if and when required).
- Collaborating with third party research initiatives.
- Identifying areas/scopes/strategies to establish new partnerships and designing long-term partnership arrangements with Government, partner NGOs and other relevant stakeholders.
- Supporting, networking and coordinating activities with different networks as per identified needs.
Resource Mobilization:
- Coordinate resource mobilizing activities with the ASF RM Team.
- Search for possible areas to apply for funding and submit application with approval from the ED and in lieu with the strategic plan.
- Developing project proposals through the use of updated research and M&E findings and in cooperation with AMC, Program and Monitoring & Evaluation Units.
- Involving, coordinating and supporting volunteers in Resource Mobilization activities.
- Planning and initiating online campaign initiatives (e.g. Facebook, website).
MIS and IT:
- Development of set of reports to meet the needs of all users and to develop a web based reporting system.
- Ensure changes in systems to respond to the changing needs of the users and program as par M&E framework and other reporting guidelines.
- Ensure that MIS data is accurate and robust ensuring that reports are accessible and to all users.
- Monitor effective use of IT resources through Sr. Coordinator MIS & IT and Operational Management Unit.
Others
- Supervise the team of Monitoring & Evaluation, Research & Strategic Partnership and IT & MIS.
- Contribute to develop strategic plan and quarterly & annually projects/programs plans.
- Support in designing, planning and budgeting of the projects, and in developing Logical.
- Preparation and submission of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Progress reports according to standards in terms of format and content quality for the donors and concern authorities.
- Contribute in overall team building initiatives throughout the organization.
- Framework for different projects and programmes.
- Facilitate in ensuring optimum and cost effective utilization of funds.
- Any other task as per the requirement of the organization.
Education & Experience
Education: Post graduate in social science from any reputed university.
Experience: Minimum ten (10) years of working experience where at least five (5) years in Monitoring & evaluation and Research. Experience in resource mobilization, project proposal writing, partnership management and MIS is preferable. Considerable experience in working with GOB, NGO counterparts and development partners will be an added advantage. Requirement may be flexible for highly deserving candidates.
