Association for Realization of Basic Needs-ARBAN invites applications from Bangladeshi Nationals for the position of “Project Coordinator” for implementing its `Education Project for the Children Living in the Slums-EPCLS’ project financed by Terre des Hommes (TDH) Italia.

Under EPCLS project three schools in one slum of Bounia Bandth: Block A, Block C and Block D are continuing. The project is focused on education and providing both non-formal and formal education. At the same time, to improve the children's living condition the project is supporting them with interrelated services such as healthcare, counseling and awareness.

COMPETENCES REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Postgraduate degree in any discipline is required. Masters in Education, English, Sociology, Anthropology and Developmental Science will be preferred. 

• Working Experience: 5-7 years working experiences in the development sector. He/she should have knowledge in working with slum dwellers in the field of building organization and mobilization of the urban poor. Candidates having good understanding of human rights, women & child rights, education, primary health care, sanitation & hygiene will be given priority.

• Age: Should not be more than 35 years.  

• Knowledge: Should have knowledge of Education & Development Science in Bangladesh, including International Development Organizations, UN Bodies, National & Local NGOs, the GOB initiatives etc.

• Attitude: Committed to work with the slum people, youth and differently challenged children

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Able to manage and implement a mechanism for continuous monitoring of operations in order to increase quality and identify/mitigate issues associated with projects implementation.
• Ability to organize and manage priorities
• Ability to analyze and understand the social climate in the area of intervention
• Ability to communicate the right information to the right people
• Ability to support staff around common issues and improve team performance.
• Able to apply and enforce ARBAN and TdH Italia principles and core values in the field
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Bangla
• Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Email, and Internet) & record keeping skills are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)

• Coordination and supervision of the day to day activities of the project’s team to ensure the achievement of the project’s objectives In consultation with the management, manage the human and financial resources to ensure the required outputs with standard quality within time and costs constraints.
• Implement the monitoring and evaluation system and share M&E findings with the team, ARBAN and TdH Italia management.
• Prepare & submit timely monitoring and activity progress reports
• Review all required reports of all sectors of the project including financial statements
• Ensure information sharing among ARBAN management, project management and funding agency
• Develop and maintain strong network with Government, NGOs, CBOs etc.
• Build and maintain effective relationships, with the team, colleagues, SMC and the community For Sponsorship data management, he is responsible to ensure proper data management in soft as well as in hard copy of the sponsored children, to take all regular action and ensure timely collection of Child Profiles, Child Messages, and Transfer packs, Photo update etc, to generate quick messages, prepare follow up sheets for sponsor families and to dispatch all planned communication packs within deadline
• Being one of the leading team members play an active role in project design and revision.
• Contribute to developing and revising the logical framework of the project: objectives, indicators, and means of verifications.

Remuneration: TK. 25,000/= P.M. consolidated (Twenty five thousand only)
