Required Qualifications:
He/ She must have Bachelors in Civil Engineering/Water Resources Engineering or similar discipline having a minimum of 3 years of experience or Diploma in civil with 8 years of experience of conducting Supervision and Monitoring activities in construction of different types of infrastructure like retaining wall, silt trap, regulator/navigation lock/ pump house, secondary and tertiary drainage network, road pavement, bridge, culvert etc. Candidates must stay full time in Chittagong.

Tasks:

• Would be responsible for supervision and monitoring, in consultation with the design team,  of  construction work and construction related all associated works;
• Review the detailed engineering design of all the proposed structural interventions  (retaining wall, silt trap, regulator, navigation lock, pump house, Secondary and Tertiary Drainage Network, road pavement, water retention pond, bridge, culvert etc.)  to be constructed and/or upgraded;
• Ensure excavation of khals as per the detailed design of khal cross section;
• Ensure that all works comply with the approved engineering designs and technical specifications;
• Provide general guidance and issue instructions to contractors and Residential Engineer;
• Make engineering decisions in consultation with the Project Director, design team and others (as and when necessary) and advise on work progress, quality control, and implementation.
