Reports to: Functional & Administrative: GM –East India & Bangladesh (VCPL)

Span of Control

  • Supervisory responsibility
    • Directly manage Bangladesh Retail Business through importer /distributors /retailers.
  • Degree of Independence
    • Independent responsibility for managing sales and business development activities of the Retail segment in the Country.
  • Financial responsibility
    • Responsibility of spending discretionary marketing budgets given to him from time to time from Corporate.

Role Objective: Manage sales accounts within whole of Bangladesh ; guide and train new sales reps or distributors, pursue prospects, promote products, offer solutions and achieve sales targets in all segments both volumes & GP’s.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Achieving the sales targets and Gross Profits for Bangladesh
    • Handling & managing Importer / distributor network growth
    • Budgeting of funds
    • Retail Staff Development
  • Addition of distribution and retail network
  • Team management – guidance and planning
  • Inventories & cash flows and forecasting
  • Branding activities in the Country.
  • Ethics and business compliances

Primary interactions

Internal: Finance, Logistics, Marketing, Regional office, IT.

External: Existing and Potential customers

Profile

Qualification

  • B.Sc. in Engineering /MBA  

Experience

  • Experience in handling Retail lubricant business in Bangladesh is a must 
  • Minimum 7-10 years prior experience in Sales out of which 2-3 yrs experience of handling a team independently is a must.
  • Track record of achieving laid down targets and creating a wide and sustainable customer base
