Title: Procurement Assistant

Job Objective:  To ensure accurate and efficient receiving, storage, Management and distribution of all goods and materials for operational, academic and construction activities.  
Education: BA or BBS in Supply Chain Management, Business Logistics or Warehouse Management required. Masters Degree Preferred
Experience: Three years of experience in a related position
Knowledge & Skills: Advanced Fluency in English.  Ability to manage data base input and updates.
Supervised By: Senior Procurement Manager

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Receiving of all procured consumable/non-consumable materials and store at the designated warehouse.
  • Follow up with vendors (if needed) on delivery of ordered goods.
  • Inform the Procurement Manager of any deviation of supplied products from the order in terms of quality and quantity.
  • Dispatch of stored materials against requisition paper as and when needed.
  • Manage and track movement (in and out) of all goods and materials and update bin cards.
  • Perform all data input and updates ensuring inventory database is maintained current and accurate.
  • Perform consumption analysis with Procurement Manager and establish replenishment criteria in a way best fitting to meet the School’s demands.
  • Perform weekly inventory validation of stored materials and report to the Procurement Manager.
  • Prepare order request for stock replenishment and submit to the Procurement Manager.
  • Open and operate the teaching supply store as scheduled and required.
  • Daily warehouse inspection for any damage to the stored goods, theft etc which should be immediately reported to the procurement manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and working loads of up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to move furniture up and down several flights of stairs.
  • Ability to work off a ladder or elevated platform.
