SUMMARY:
Cashier will be responsible for administrative field cash function, expenditures, bookkeeping and payroll related to the specific programs and projects as assigned. Assisting with monthly closings and account analysis and supporting the manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. The project aims to reduce suffering, maintain human dignity and save lives among conflict‐affected Rohingya refugees, particularly the most vulnerable groups.

Qualifications and Experience:
- BBA/B Com in Business or Accounting
- Minimum 2 years experience in accounting or treasury work
- Competence in accounting
- Some administrative experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English: read, write, speak, understand
- Computer literate

Desirable:
- Current passport or the ability to apply for one.
- Driver’s License

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Maintain custody of project cash fund
- Disburse and/or receive “authorized” cash or bank payments and receipts related to project activities timely
- Ensure petty cash replenishment in accordance with ADRA’s procedures
- Ensure all required documents are attached and match (bills/invoices, GRN, purchase order/contract, price analysis, quotations, approved request form…)
- Ensure appropriate approvals are made by the Finance Manager and/or the Project Manager, the authorization slip is signed or the bill is duly signed by the Finance Manager or the Project Manager “before” making any payment of any cash or bank payments
- Keep the safe keys, cash and other assets in a secure place
- Keep record of all cash, disbursement and receipt, bank and advances updated every day and reconcile cash daily
- Send daily to the Finance Manager the cash and bank book with the reconciliation
- Prepare advances requests and reconciliations and submit to Finance Manager for review/approval
- Keep all finance documents, cash and bank vouchers and reports labeled and filed properly
- Maintain office supplies and stationary stock-keeping and inventory
- Archive and keep documentation of correspondence and all admin documents
- Ensure smooth running of reception of visitors, photocopies and mail services
- Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to uphold ADRA’s standards and to not jeopardize ADRA’s mission.
- Be adaptable and flexible to take new tasks and new assignments within the scope of the project activities as requested from time to time.
- Represent ADRA with networking and participation in various Government, Donor and NGO forums.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/authority.
Salary will be according to specific budgetary allocation.
