Project Summary
Over 1 million of Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Citizen (with the majority comprising women and children), took shelter in camps in Cox’s Bazar in southern Bangladesh on August 2017. The Government of Bangladesh, together with national and international partners, have pro‐actively responding to this crisis with a massive humanitarian response, allocating 2,000 acres of land and coordinating and providing critical assistance such as food, nutrition, shelter, water, health & hygiene, and psycho‐social and basic education services to the camps, settlements and host communities.

ActionAid is implementing site management activities in Camp 11 and 12 funded by IOM. Besides, ActionAid have few ongoing programmes in different sectors e.g. Protection, WASH, NFI etc. inside the camps. As a response agency since September 2017, ActionAid has developed relationships with a range of camp actors, including the Rohingya and their representatives and successfully doing the site management role. ActionAid is working with IOM to address critical humanitarian gaps and need through site management by coordination & collaboration with different stakeholders. Information management, linking community with different service providers, camp operations, and DRR and site improvement are the major activities of site management project.

Key Responsibilities include (not limited to)

  • Reviewing and providing quality assurance of Project Document, work plans and ensuring information management;
  • Ensuring timely development and submission of quality reports of the Rohingya Response Projects;
  • Capturing and documenting good practices, change story and case stories;
  • Developing communication materials for sharing and dissemination of project learning;
  • Keeping records of all documentations and project implementation process of Rohingya response programme;
  • Support in developing data collection tools for monitoring activities and indicators;
  • Support in Strengthening the capacities of implementing partners on any thematic related to M&E;
  • Making regular field visit to monitor the Women Friendly Space (WFS) activity;
  • Support in updating external database maintenance work related to Rohingya response programmes (3W, 5W etc);
  • Support in developing monthly, quarterly and annual monitoring reports;
  • Providing secretariat and coordination support of programme meetings, project steering & other meetings and other M&E related activities;
  • Performing any other work duties assigned by line Manager.


  • S/he will report to CWC & Accountability Specialist.

Required Educational Qualification and Experiences


  • Master’s in environmental science/ sociology, Development Studies, URP or equivalent degree in relevant subject.


  • At least 2 years relevant professional experience in humanitarian and/or development programs.

Required Competencies

• Knowledge of project cycle management and monitoring tools.
• Ability to analyze information accurately and quickly.
• Good report writing skills.
• Proficiency in English is obligatory, ability to speak the local Chittagong dialect is a plus.
