M&E Coordinator:

We are seeking a M&E Coordinator for our USAID Feed the Future Livestock Production for Improved Nutrition Project. The project seeks to impact rural household nutrition by improving the utilization of livestock products, and food security. The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator will be responsible for implementing M&E activities in consultation with M&E team. Key to this position will be effectively implement M&E activities for management of the M&E functions that include data collection, analysis, reporting, and knowledge management for learning and promoting accountability in project management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The M&E Coordinator will assist M&E team for monitoring and reporting so that program activities and outcomes are in place, effectively implemented and well synchronized between program locations and components.
  • She/he will provide required support in establishing M&E systems and data collection efforts in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure a process of evidence-based learning that improves understanding while strengthening local capacity, institutional development and sustainability of livestock value chain activities.
  • Assist in the implementing project M&E plan, and collection and reporting of data as required.
  • Provide required support in maintaining and improving program and service quality by examining compliance with operating procedures, by monitoring the implementation of programs and services, and proposing solutions.
  • Review data collected by field team and ascertain quality of the data.
  • Conduct periodic internal routine data quality assessments.
  • Assist in preparing quality documentation, periodic and learning reports by analyzing and summarizing information and trends to maximize achievement of outcomes and impact.
  • Support staff in maintaining and negotiating the ACDI/VOCA database.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in relevant disciplines but preferably in Urban and Rural Planning, Statistics, International Development, or other related fields.
  • 5 years of monitoring and evaluation experience in development or food security (USAID funded project preferred) related projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in statistical analysis and reporting including experience with computer-based statistical packages and databases (Epi Info/ ACCESS/ STATA/ SPSS/ SAS, etc.), in addition to standard Microsoft packages (e.g., Access, Word, Excel).
  • Demonstrated experience in critical analysis of project data and in using the results of this analysis to recommend key programmatic changes.
  • Strong planning capabilities to support efficient and effective data collection related to baseline, mid-term and final evaluation surveys.
  • Strong experience in program monitoring and evaluation, most specifically the demonstrated ability to analyze data to inform program improvements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Bangla.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, diplomacy and team work skills.
