USAID/BANGLADESH FEED THE FUTURE
RICE AND DIVERSIFIED CROPS ACTIVITY |
Request for Applications
The USAID/Bangladesh Feed the Future (FtF) Rice and Diversified Crops (RDC) activity is
designed to catalyze market system changes that promote a diversified farm management
approach oriented to intensified rice production and higher-value, nutrient-rich crops to
increase incomes and improve food security and nutrition in the Khulna, Barisal, and
southern districts of Dhaka divisions of Bangladesh (RDC zone). RDC’s goal is to increase rural incomes by catalyzing a process that leads to competitive and inclusive rice-based
market systems. RDC aims to facilitate strategic, market system-strengthening interventions
to improve rice intensification and diversification.
As part of this program, RDC is working with the private sector to improve sales distribution
networks for agricultural inputs. These networks include agricultural Input Supply
Companies, Dealers, Agents, and Retailers. Improving these networks will result in benefits
for all market actors including farmers.
RDC is inviting Input Supply Companies interested in developing/improving the
performance of their Dealer network to submit applications presenting:
- Performance improvements you would like to develop among your Dealers
(identify the areas of Dealer performance that you want to improve – see list on back for examples).
- Illustrative incentives that you will provide to your Dealers (to promote desired
performance)
- List of Dealers that you will include in your pilot program
- Description of the activities that you would like to undertake (with technical and/or
cost share support from RDC) to promote the desired performance with your targeted
Dealers.
- How you propose to monitor your Dealer performance system.
- How these Dealer performance improvements will benefit your Company, the
targeted Dealers, and farmers in the RDC zone.
Applications should be submitted via email at info@acdivocardc.org clearly stating the “Application in response to RFA # 12-2018-Dealer Performance Management Systems” in
the subject line of email no later than 27th December 2018. The applicants can find an
