for Feed the Future Bangladesh Rice and Diversified Crops (RDC) Activity

The Feed the Future Bangladesh Rice and Diversified Crops (RDC) activity is a USAID-funded project designed to catalyze market system changes that promote a diversified farm management approach oriented to intensified rice production and higher-value, nutrient-rich crops to increase incomes, for men and women, and improve food security and nutrition in the rice, maize, pulse (mungbean, lentil), oilseed (sunflower, sesame), mechanization, ICT and finance sectors in southern Bangladesh. RDC is implemented by ACDI/VOCA in partnership Action for Enterprise (AFE) and implements this program through partnerships with agricultural business sectors.

The objective of RDC:

• Improve Food Security through Systemic Changes that increase incomes
• Increase the intensification of rice and productivity of diversified crops
• Increase competitiveness and inclusiveness of rice based crop market systems

ACDI/VOCA is soliciting proposals for the provision of communication services to their RDC project. These services will be used to support RDC partners communicate efficiently and accurately with project beneficiaries such as farmers and other market systems actors and to communicate the activities, challenges, lssons learnt and successes of the project to USAID, agriculture business, development partners and government. This will be in a manner that encourages wide spread adoption of successful innovations and uses the experience gained from the RDC activities to influence rule, regulator and standard makers.

Proposals should be submitted in hard copy at ACDI/VOCA (RDC Project), Ventura Iconia, Level # 5, House # 37, Road # 11, Block # H, Banani, Dhaka-1213 and by email at marc@acdivocardc.org clearly mentioning “RFP-Communication Services” in the subject line of email no later than 30th July 2018.
