Garment Technologist: Principle Accountabilities of the Incumbent are mentioned below:

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate samples against standards to ensure products meet all Target Quality Standards
• Approve and risk assess samples against Target standards and requirements, in line with critical path.
• Provide technical advice to merchandising, design and buying teams on product quality, sample execution and fit related issues
• Communicate with suppliers on all development and production technical issues to ensure products are produced in accordance with Target quality standards.
• Provide technical training and on-going coaching to vendors/factories for meeting requirements and continuous performance improvement.
• Deliver technical and quality induction to suppliers to train them on Target’s quality and technical requirements.
• Visit factories for PP meetings to prevent problems at production when required.
• Live the Target values and culture within the team and across the organisation
• Identify and report safety concerns, demonstrate safe working behaviour and lead by example to establish a safe workplace

Job Requirements:

• Diploma, Certificate or College graduate in Clothing and Textiles
• Minimum 5 years’ solid experience in related field
• Knowledge in pattern making, fit, garment construction, manufacturing process
• Experience of sample evaluation, live model and mannequin fit evaluation
• Experience of working directly with designers and buyers preferred
• Knowledge in both development and production.
• Strong verbal and written English and local language
• Strong IT skills especially in the use of MS-Office applications
