Head Chef

Reporting to: Restaurant Manager

Responsible for: All kitchen staff

Cuisine type: Continental and modern American

Job Responsibilities& Duties:

  • To ensure that all menus are constantly updated, paying special attention to seasonal availability.
  •  To ensure that all hygiene requirement are properly followed and proper knowledge about culinary hygiene.
  • To ensure all menus are correctly calculated to ensure maximum gross profit.
  • To constantly update knowledge and skill for creative cooking and a ability to experimenting new food items.
  • To ensure that all staff are constantly trained to effect good portion control and pleasing presentation of dishes.
  • To ensure that all maintence problems are promptly reported to the manager and proper knowledge of using modern kitchen equipments.
  • To ensure that sufficient stocks of all materials are being kept and stored under the correct conditions.
  • To assist with regular stock check and as when required.
  • Must be a strong team leader who are responsible for all kitchen staff.
  • Must be dedicated and commited to the business for a long term.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or diploma in culinary arts.
  • Must have at least 5 years’ culinary experience.

Computer Skills:

  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs related to culinary industry.
