Intern- People & Culture


Location: Dhaka in Bangladesh, Position: 02 (Two)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a dynamic team player who will work as an Intern with People & Culture (HR) team at Oxfam Country Office. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated volunteer who will play an essential role in our friendly team for providing a comprehensive and efficient HR administrative support. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience of working in the not-for-profit sector. Oxfam believes to offer opportunity to the fresh graduates to get scope in professional field and hands on exposure that will add value in their career advancement. In this connection to provide HR administrative and system support to ensure quality and sufficiency of HR information and documentation, opportunity has been opened for internship in People & Culture Team. You must be proactive and good at finding solutions to problems, organized with good time management skills, and have strong interpersonal skills.  Written and verbal communication skills are required with a strong preference for English and Bangla Language. 

Key tasks

  • Help to update P&C archive records, Non-staff’s data entry (Consultancy, volunteer, intern) 
  • Provide necessary support for recruitment, selection & communication.
  • Help to prepare different letters and documents.
  • Help to raise requisition and placing order for new hires visiting & ID Cards.
  • Help to prepare check payment request and filing.
  • Assist to update People & Culture files (Leavers, Consultancy, recruitment and so on)
  • Arrange logistics and interview calls, invitation to ensure recruitment formalities.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, records distribute and preserve
  • Perform different tasks required by the People & Culture team.
  • Arrange logistics, coordinate to arrange different events for People & Culture.

Key qualifications, Competencies and Skills

  • BBA/ Bachelor’s degree preferably in HRM or relevant discipline 
  • Excellent communication skill both in English and Bangla languages. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, an approachable working style, sensitivity to the needs of others
  • Show respect to confidentiality
  • Ability to work within a team or independently as required by the job nature.
  • Ability to work in a systematic and well-organized manner
  • Computer literate – MS word, MS Excel, PPT, etc.
  • Sensitivity to gender equality in work practices

A motivational allowance of BDT. 500/- will be paid to the Intern during the period of assignment for transportation and lunch based on actual working days
