Senior Logistic Officer, Admin & Fleet


Location: Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, Job Type: Fixed Term, until December 31, 2019

[Only Bangladeshi nationals are eligible to apply]

Salary & Benefits: BDT. 1,056,451 gross per annum (13 months) with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a dynamic team player to manage the supply chain, warehousing and distribution, field facility functions for the Bangladesh Rohingya Refugees Response.

The post holder reports to Logistics and Admin Manager

SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:

Essential

  • A university degree in Public/Business Administration, Finance, Laws, or any other relevant discipline of study.
  • Qualifications and/or extensive experience in: Management, Administration and Transportation (Fleet), with team support, and excellent communications.
  • Minimum 3 year’s work experience in humanitarian programmes in Logistics Management
  • Diplomacy, tact and negotiating skills.
  • Team-working skills.
  • Flexibility under pressure and in response to changing needs. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and excellent numeracy.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Ability to keep clear and concise records.
  • Commitment to Oxfam’s equal opportunity and gender policies.
  • Commitment to humanitarian principles and with the aims and objectives of Oxfam.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences, and the ability to work in a wide variety of cultural contexts

Desirable

  • Previous overseas work experience, ideally with non-governmental organizations would be an advantage.
  • Financial management ability.
  • Knowledge of Oxfam policies, procedure and systems.
  • Certification in Humanitarian Logistics/Supply Chain Management
