Salary & Benefits: BDT. 368,562 per annum (13 months) gross with other benefits as per Oxfam policy

We are urgently looking for a dynamic team player who will work with the Emergency Response team under Oxfam in Bangladesh.

To contribute to plan and implement emergency WASH activities in rohingya response plan in coordination with PHP colleagues ensuring quality at each level within the project time frame and Provide hands-on technical support to the team, supports the senior management during field implementation, works closely to volunteers and contractors to ensure quality delivery.

The post holder reports to PHE Officer.


  • A suitable qualification in the areas of Civil Engineering.
  • At least 1 year WASH experience including project management, monitoring and implementation.
  • Experience in developing design, drawing, BoQs, water quality testing & monitoring of engineering activities.
  • The post holder will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of WASH, public health issues and community mobilisation.
  • Basic understanding and use of humanitarian international codes of conduct and minimum standards, especially the Red Cross Code and SPHERE standards.
  • Basic awareness on integrating gender, less able, marginalized and diversity issues in public health programme activities.
  • Work knowledge of written and spoken English/ Bengali / Chittagonian (local language).
  • Experience of facilitating community participation in water and sanitation programmes would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience in research & development work or to develop/ explore new innovative ideas and piloting.
  • Assessment, analytical and planning skills.
  • Diplomacy, tact and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in response to changing needs.
  • Ability to travel and to work in difficult circumstances.
  • Contract/contractor management, tendering, estimation- experience
