Japan Solartech BD limited is looking professionals for new venture for the following position

Job Description: Head of Sales and Distribution, General Manager (Battery Sales and Distribution), Japan Solartech BD Limited

  • Develop go-to-market strategy that includes direct selling, indirect selling through external rep channel, sales through Major Accounts, and sales through Key Account Operations Management.
  • Responsible for overall battery business plan, sales forecast and monthly S&OP presentations.
  • Responsible for business analytics through CRM on Demand, and other reporting tools.
  • Report on Battery business at quarterly Board Meetings.
  • Utilize Market Research to understand customer needs and pain points and industry mega trends.
  • Develop competitive assessments and market segmentation and targeting.
  • Develop and provide Vision/Strategic Planning to support the optimum business model to succeed. Insure cross-platform product marketing coordination. Develop customer value understanding and drive research to determine what is technically possible and practical.
  • Manage Product Planning in support of business plan and established value proposition. Create product roadmap detailing current capabilities and evolution of future offerings as driven by market offering requirements.
  • Coordinate with Product Management responsibilities on pricing and margin management. Ensure consistent order tools and ERP configuration.
  • Coordinate and rationalize the global positioning of all remote service offerings within Network Power.
  • Research industry landscape to identify and analyze the competition to ensure new and existing service offerings are competitively structured and priced.
  • Align Channel Development to include go-to-market strategy, sales training and support and sales incentives.
  • Leverage Marketing Communications through messaging and brand development. Coordinate all sales collateral and sales training material.
  • Work closely with Network Power teams and Business Units to identify and develop battery service offerings.
  • Meet or exceed established annual battery sales quotas while supporting management’s profitability objectives.
  • Manage the Battery Sales group to assure timely quoting; to meet minimum calls per day targets; and to achieve assigned order closure rates.
  • Develop and manage alliances with regional battery replacement / service companies.
  • Develop and execute battery sales strategies to close sales opportunities utilizing, where appropriate, competitive information and marketplace data.
  • Work with Battery Marketing to understand and develop market potential and penetration model.
  • Develop competitive sales strategies to increase market penetration.
  • Analyze available sources and delivery options to offer the most competitive pricing plan to meet the customer’s immediate needs.
  • Develop and present proposals and maintain Proposal Activity Reports including rejected or cancelled battery quotes to accurately reflect 100% of the outstanding quotes for the month.
  • Maintain sales records and up to date activity on progress to assist with forecasting reports.

Other Requirements

  • Direct experience in supervising both management and administrative associates is required .
  • Ability to direct, develop and motivate a team of salaried associates.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to grow sales base.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities and capable of resolving contract and product issues.
  • Knowledge of Batteries and UPS/Power Products desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
  • Team player with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Educational Requirements

  • Candidates having experience working in Battery sales and distribution are encouraged to apply.
  • MBA from any university (foreign/ Local) will be preferable.
