Security Program Officer - LE 07

The High Commission of Canada to Bangladesh is pleased to announce a job opportunity for Security Program Officer including an attractive compensation and benefits package. The competition is open to citizens of Bangladesh and all persons with legal working status in Bangladesh or at the High Commission.

Job Responsibilities: The successful candidate will report to the Security Program Manager. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Research, analysis and advice on operational security in Bangladesh
  • Draft reports based on this research and analysis
  • Develop and maintain a robust network of local operational security contacts
  • Administrative oversight of the locally-contracted guard force
  • Background checks on Locally-engaged personnel and contractors
  • Routine security briefings (group and individual)
  • Bengali language support for the security section
  • Support for the mission's emergency preparedness activities.
  • Other tasks as required.

Qualifications and Requirements: The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Government recognized Bacehlor’s Level University degree in any discipline;
  • A superior command of English and Bengali both orally and in writing;
  • At least three (3) years of recent (within the past five (5) years), relevant work experience working as a Security Officer or Political Officer with an International organization or diplomatic mission;
  • Experience in writing detailed security reports
  • MS-Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Outlook, Internet, Google Map
  • Standard security mitigation features and practices for ensuring security of persons, information and physical property

Starting Salary: 1,205,052 BDT including housing allowance per year + paid overtime and other attractive benefits. .
