For the team of “GIZ Office Dhaka” we seek applications from suitable candidates for the field of Internship- Human Resources”.

Job Location: Dhaka

Internship Duration: 4 Months

A. Responsibilities

The position holder is responsible for:

  • Work as part of the HR team on general process execution of the GIZ Office Dhaka in the area of Human Resource Management. This applies for all of the projects being implemented by GIZ.
  • Dynamically support the Human Resource Unit in various processes so that all activities are executed in an effective and timely manner.
  • Ensure that GIZ rules and regulations in all matters are adhered to including keeping all information confidential.

In this context, the position holder fulfils the following tasks:

B. Tasks

The position holder is responsible for

1. Support in the preparation of income certificates

  • Assists to compile income and tax related information for all NPs
  • Supports to prepare individual income certificates for all NPs
  • Makes photocopies and assists in the disbursement of income certificates

2. Personnel Filing

  •   Updates personnel file of all NPs according to GIZ procedures for the year 2016-2017
  •   Compiles and organizes information, labels files according to GIZ filing system
  •   Collects and compiles personnel data from the GIZ office and projects as per requirement

3. General Tasks

  • Assists in preparing HR related letters and documents, especially salary certificates, as and when required
  •   Assists the HR department in all personnel related issues
  •   Assists in and/or carries out other project activities and tasks as assigned

C. Required qualifications, competences and experience

Academic Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor degree (Hon’s) in any discipline, preferably in HRM or Finance

Professional experience

  • N/A

Other knowledge, additional competences

  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills
  • Excellent command on MS-Office especially in MS Excel
  • Fluency in English and Bangla language
