HR SPECIALIST

Location:  Dhaka Reporting to: HR Head - Bangladesh
   
OVERVIEW

Reporting to HR Head – Bangladesh, the HR Specialist will assist HR Head in driving and embedding HR strategies, providing professional HR expertise and supporting internal client groups; with one prime objective to ensure the execution and delivery of HR operational activities in an effective and efficient manner and delivering and adding significant value to the business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Operations

  • Responsible for the day to day HR operational activities
  • Handling employee on-boarding and exit processes
  • Coordinate orientation and induction program 
  • Administer attendance system and reporting
  • Overtime administration
  • Support in monthly payroll processing
  • Maintain and update employee master database and org. structure
  • Maintain and update employee personnel files
  • Assist in reviewing and benchmarking the internal and external environment to improve the HR policies and initiatives thus enhancing overall business performance
  • Assist in HR related Audits

Recruitment     

  • Assist in providing relevant tools and programmes to attract, develop, and retain talents
  • Administer Recruitment in SAP platform
  • Coordinate for Offsite and Onsite test and Interviews
  • Coordinate pre- employment medical check up
  • Coordinate reference and background verification with agent

Training & development             

  • Prepare and update training calendar linked with TNA
  • Coordination of training programs as per Training Calendar
  • Facilitation for relevant HR Training Modules
  • Assist HR Head in driving people processes (performance, development and career) and serve as a facilitator and coach managers on performance management.
  • Work closely with leaders to analyse, anticipate and outline present and future organisational capabilities.

Employee engagement               

  • Drive employee engagement events and activities   
  • Ensure successful performance by Employee Engagement team
Skills Required

  • BBA and MBA in Human Resources Management from reputed Public or private university with CGPS minimum 3.25
  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience in an HR specialist role in a MNC / global organisation,
  • Must have good command over Bangladesh labour laws and practices.
  • Solid understanding of HR fundamentals – recruitment, learning and development, HR operations, MIS & services, ER / IR, as well as local labour laws.
  • Experienced in handling employee and industrial relations
  • High energy with strong desire to achieve and proven capabilities of multi-tasking and working under pressure and deadlines.
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (specially Excel) and SAP HR Module
  • Strong abilities to build relationships and manage multiple stakeholders' interests.
  • Open- and cross-culturally minded.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Bangla
